Our Story
It all started in 2023 with an exhibition in the Village Hall of various photographs of old Horsington. One highlight of the event was a presentation of a series of historic documents that had been stored in the "Parish Chest".
One thing led to another and it became apparent that not only was the village steeped in history but unlike many other villages ours was well documented by a variety of institutions and villagers.
As many of the old documents were fragile we needed to digitalise them, record them and share them
and so this web site was created.
The group can be a place to research, to assist in compiling and archiving, or simply to listen, support and enjoy.
